Penn Hills No. 1 Vol. Fire Co. has been saving lifes and property in the Lincoln Park Community since 1916. We are a 100% Volunteer and are always accepting new members and donations. Any person age 16 or over that is interested in volunteering should call the station at (412) 241-9285 and leave a message or you can download our online application file it out and print it. We meet every Monday 6:30pm – 8:30pm. Volunteers do not have to fight fires. We also need volunteers to help stuff envelopes, cut grass, and assist with cleaning. We look forward to hearing from you.

Any person 18 or older who wishes to participate in all Functions of the Department. Said member will serve a probationary period and upon completion have voting rights and able to hold any officer position of department so long as they meet said requirements of that position.
Live In Firefighter:
Any Active Firefighter who wishes to participate in the live in program and live at the Station following any and all rules and SOG’s of the Live In Program.
Bunk In Member:
Any current Active Firefighter who wishes to participate in the Bunk In program and sleep at the Station on a limited basis following any and all rules and SOG’s of the Live In Program.
Any person 16 to 18 years old who wishes to participate in the Junior Program and participate in a modified capacity as per PA Labor Laws governing Junior Firefighter. Said member will serve a probationary period and have no vote until reaching there 18th birthday. Junior Member can serve a role in Fire Ground Support but may no engange in any actual firefighting procedure or power equipment,
Any person 18 or older who is a member of another Department with at least basic Firefighting Training who wishes to participate in the Functions of the Department in a limited capacity. Said member will serve a probationary period and have no vote or right to hold office.
Any person 18 or older who wishes to participate in Administrative Functions of the Department only. Said person will serve a probationary period and only have a voice or vote in any non firefighting related events.
All prospective members must fill out the appropriate applications and submit them to the Chief or Live In Committe. Upon revieving your application the Committee will review your application and schedule a meeting with you to familiarize you with the operations of the department. A background check will be completed and any and all copies of certificates, drivers license and other material must be provided. Once the interview and background check have been completed the committee will forward your application to the general body at the next regular business meeting for a vote by all members present. Potential Live In or Bunk In members will be reviewed by the committee and approved or rejected based on an interview and meeting all requirements of the Live In SOG.
